On December 19, 2022, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited or PTTEP signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the implementation of a project on the rehabilitation of fish habitats around oil rig platforms in the Gulf of Thailand. The MOA was signed by the Department of Fisheries, Prince of Songkla University, Kasetsart University, and Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center. The collaboration will conduct research on creating aquatic habitats for marine animals. The objectives of the project are to enhance fish stocks by restoring and developing aquatic habitats, fishery resources, and marine ecosystems, as well as to promote aquatic resource management in accordance with the concept of sustainable and balanced marine ecosystems. |
