On December 15,2022, CEO signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the conservation and restoration of natural resources through community engagement and application of technology for sustainable development. The MOU between PTTEP, Mae Fah Luang Foundation under Royal Patronage, and AI and Robotics Ventures Co., Ltd. aims to promote community engagement in the preservation and restoration of forest areas to maximize CO2 sequestration in parallel with economic, social and environmental development to support Thailand’s goals of carbon neutrality by 2050 and net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065 as well as the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Additionally, the MOU will include exchanges of knowledge to enhance technological skills. Under the MOU scientific and technological systems will be used to collect data to assess carbon credits of forest areas in order to obtain certification by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).
