On November 21, 2023, TSM represented PTTEP in accepting a Steward Leadership 25 (SL25) award. PTTEP was ranked among just 25 organizations in Asia to win such an honor thanks to its Ocean for Life project. Three workstreams in this initiative are 1) Sustainable Ocean-Friendly Operations that cover plans to install retired platform jackets as artificial reefs; 2) Sustainable Ocean Health and Blue Carbon Solutions that include platform-based studies on microplastics and coral bleaching in the Gulf of Thailand with findings such as oceanographic data, meteorological data, real-time Met Ocean Offshore Monitoring data and Ocean Health & Biodiversity Monitoring data shared with the public via the PTTEP Ocean Data Platform; and 3) Sustainable Community around the Ocean that conducts social works to promote Thailand’s marine abundance and biodiversity on a sustainable basis and also to raise the quality of life and income of locals in 17 targeted provinces around the Gulf of Thailand.
Steward Leadership 25 (SL25) awards are conferred by the Stewardship Asia Centre CLG Limited, which is a non-profit organization, INSEAD Hoffmann Global Institute for Business and Society, WTW, and The Straits Times, to honor businesses, leaders, investors, and individuals who have set value-creating guidelines through exemplary practices by taking into account the needs of stakeholders, society, and the environment. The award-presentation ceremony was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.
